Milieu Counselor III – Children’s Program

 

Program:         Children’s

 

Schedule:        Full Time

 

Benefits:         Full benefit package

 

Salary:            $14 to $17 per hour (shift differentials paid in addition to hourly rate)

 

Our Milieu Counselor III position is a supervisory level position. Experience in/knowledge of one or more of the following diagnoses is a plus: attachment disorder, depression, and post traumatic stress disorder.  Residential experience highly desired. Milieu Counselor I – Group Home Program

 

Program:         Group Home

Benefits:         Benefit package

Salary:            $10 to $12 per hour (shift differentials paid in addition to hourly rate)

 

Position One – Overnights – 30 hours per week – Pro-Rated Benefit Package

Saturday, Sunday, and Monday - 10:30 PM to 8:30 AM

 

Position Two – Overnights – 40 hours per week – Full Benefit Package

Sunday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday - 11:00 PM to 9:00 AM

Our Milieu Counselor I position is an entry level position and is available in all of our programs. For the Group Home experience in/knowledge of one or more of the following diagnoses is a plus: attachment disorder, depression, and post traumatic stress disorder. Associates Degree with two years experience required. BA/BS preferred.

 

Teachers

 

Program:         Arch Bridge School – Upper School (Middle & High School)

 

Schedule:        Full Time – Academic Year (8/21/08 to 6/19/09)

Anticipated openings to teach in a structured, nurturing environment. The Arch Bridge School, a private certified special education school, is seeking teachers with a multi-disciplinary, experiential approach to learning with an emphasis on social skills and behavior. Seeking certified teachers for:

·        Special Education (Grades 7-12)

·        Math (Grades 7-12)…must be able to teach pre-algebra through pre-calculus.

·        English (Grades 7-12)

·        Science – Certified Biology and/or Earth Science (Grades 7-12)

For the Adult Program experience in/knowledge of one or more of the following diagnoses is a plus: depression, borderline personality disorder, substance abuse and/or eating disorders.  Seeking to fill gaps in all shifts and all days of the week.  Especially interested in evening, overnight, and weekend coverage.  A high percentage of our per diem MCs are offered positions. Associates Degree with two years experience required. BA/BS preferred.

Our residential programs for children, adolescent girls, and adults continuously interview nurses.   Some of the presenting diagnoses are attachment disorder, eating disorders, substance abuse, depression, borderline personality disorder, and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.  Seeking to fill gaps in a variety of shifts and days.  Especially interested in evening, overnight, and weekend coverage.  LPN or RN required.   Experience with residential programs helpful but not required.

APPLICATION PROCESS

 

Upon receipt of your cover letter and resume an acknowledgement will be sent advising you of our receipt of your interest. Those selected for an interview will be contacted by phone or email to arrange an interview time.

 

·        Interview: On the day of the interview all candidates will be asked to complete The Wellspring Foundation Application for Employment, complete forms authorizing background checks and reference requests. The candidate will need to bring the complete mailing addresses and phone numbers of four (4) references (2 professional and 2 personal.) 

·        Reference Check: After interviews for an open position are conducted reference request forms will be mailed for those candidates that are viable.  References are verified once they have been returned to Wellspring.

·        Offers are made by the Director of Human Resources after all background searches, employment verifications, and references have been received and verified.  Specifics of the offer are discussed at that time.

 

Pre-Employment Screening:  In compliance with our JCAHO, DCF and State of CT Public Health licenses all new hires, when offered a position, must complete the following with satisfactory results:

 

• Pre-Employment Physical with a TB screen (responsibility of the candidate)
